Jeff Hutchison, the husband of currently indicted Steubenville resident Dawn Hutchison, checked himself into Trinity East voluntarily last week as a show of commitment to bettering the current lifestyle him and his wife live.
Seeking medical treatment for alcoholism in what Jeff called “an intensive outpatient program“, Jeff arrived at Trinity East and immediately began treatment.
He was eventually admitted to the same floor as the mental health facility, which is only divided by a set of security doors, when Jeff states that his nightmare began.
Jeff Hutchison states that his male nurse and doctor questioned him about “Deric Lostutter“, and “Deric’s alleged involvement in exposing the Steubenville Ohio rape case cover-up”, questions which weren’t relative to his treatment at the facility.
Jeff Hutchison also stated that the male nurse kept asking him if he hallucinates, or feels disillusioned at all, stating that “we treat that differently here“.
Jeff Hutchison went on to explain that the male nurse recorded him on multiple occasions with his telephone, playing the recordings, including sounds of him in the bathroom, through the loud speaker for the public to here.
“I think someone in the county, Jane Hanlin maybe, gave them the recorded phone calls between Dawn and I. They played them over the loudspeaker all night for everyone to hear.”
Jeff Hutchison alleges that prosecuting attorney Jane Hanlin turned over recorded, yet not public telephone calls between him and his wife, Dawn Hutchison, which took place over the Jefferson County jail telephone lines.
He stated that they would play the recordings over the loudspeaker all hours of the night, laughing at him.
“I think they wanted to make me seem like I was crazy, or paranoid”.
Jeff signed himself out a couple days later after he came to the conclusion that in an effort not to lose the case against Dawn, that he was being conspired against by the county prosecutor’s office in order to manipulate medical evaluation results.
As someone who sought help with honest intentions to better himself, Jeff explained that this further diminished his trust in the people of Steubenville, and the local government there.
When speaking to Dawn Hutchison about what happened, Dawn explained:
“Jeff is a great man. He loves me and has always been there for me. I don’t know what I would do without him. He is going through so much because of this.”
Jane Hanlin was recently sworn in as a federal prosecutor after taking more than 2 weeks to recuse herself from the Steubenville Ohio rape case, in which her son, a friend of the two convicted rapists, Charlie Keenan, was alleged to have been present at the parties where the attacks on young Jane Doe happened. Allegations which Jane Hanlin fervently denied.
Jeff Hutchison is currently alcohol free and waiting on the return of his wife.
